Intel Pentium 4 - 2.80A GHz ProcessorStrengths: Faster than the predecessor. Easily installed. Weakness: Is only compatible with newer motherboards. Had the Prescott 2.4 and decided to upgrade. No problems with this processor. Easily installed by someone like me who is not all computer literate.Faster than the Northwood. Intel Pentium 4 - 2.80A GHz ProcessorStrengths: great speed, reliable. never had a problem with it. Weakness: none. This is probably the 10th Intel Pentium 4 CPU I've purchased and I've never had any trouble with it. If you're going to buy something that's fast and reliable, always buy Intel. I've purchased AMD before and I haven't been happy with it, it had some compatibility issues and it doesn't even compare with Intel. Sure, you can do all the benchmark tests you want but when you use it in the real world with actual applications and games, Intel has the upper hand. Intel Pentium 4 - 2.80A GHz ProcessorStrengths: Price and speed. Weakness: none (so far) This processor was $100 more at a couple of the local retailers. I can't complain about saving that kind of cash. Noticeably faster than my 300mhz P2. It got to my house faster than some of my programs would take to open on that dinosaur. Intel Pentium 4 - 2.80A GHz Processor
Strengths: Large cache, easy to install
Weakness: difficult to keep cpu temperature down
Had to install additional case cooling fans to keep cpu temperature down below maximum levels. AMD comparible processors are cheaper to purchase with same or better performance. AMD processors do not have the same cooling problems as the pentium IV.
