Corsair 2GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SODIMM Dual Channel Memory...Strengths: Performance, Price, compatablility and will make you keep Vista:) Weakness: None! Bought this for my Dell Vostro 1500. Took longer to open up the second dimm slot (under the keyboard) than to install this memory. But once installed vista runs faster! Hated that it came with Vista but with 2GB i haven't had any problems! Greatly noticed it on my boot time and my shut down time. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Corsair memoryStrengths: Easy Installation, Reliable, stable, fast Weakness: na I bought this to upgrade my Toshiba laptop with memory 512 MB to 2 GB. Upgradation was vsmooth without a hitch. It works perfectly in my toshiba A135-2386 running Vista Home Basic.Since the installation the performance of my system has improved considerably no problems so far. Great Ram, working greatStrengths: Easy to install and Good Compatibility Weakness: None so far I added this 2 x 1GB notebook memory to both my Dell E1505 laptop and Lenovo thinkpad T61 laptop. the Vista Home Premium and Windows XP pro running great and fast now. Very easy to install into laptop RAM slots.only took me 10 minutes to install both two memory. After that, boot up and start. Everything runs very well. 2gb pc2-5300 ddr2 sodimm memory kitStrengths: improved performance Weakness: does not register as 2gb, only registers at 1.73gb Dissappointed the moduals do not seem to be full 2gb as advertised, but other than that I am pleased with the performance of my computer using vista home premium after the instalation of the memory chips. the computer came with 1gb the incresed memory really improved the performance 17% of readers found this review helpful. As others have said it will help the load speed of vista. A friend recommended this brand name and at a good price. Corsair DDR2 SODIMM (1GBx2)Strengths: reasonably priced, works great. Weakness: none. I ordered from FRYS.com for the price of $40 after rebate which I think is reasonable. stable memory for laptop upgradingStrengths: stability, brand name Weakness: none I bought the package a few months ago for upgrading my ThinkPad laptop. The two pieces in the package were very stable and compatible with my laptop. I have no problem with them after a few months of daily using under windows Vista. Must Do Upgrade for Mac MiniStrengths: Inexpensive, Lifetime Warranty, Excellent Performance Weakness: None so far I used this memory to upgrade RAM for my Mac Mini and it's an amazing improvement. It's a great deal and you get to pair the 2 available SDRAM banks with the same type of memory which gives better performance than chips of different sizes/specs. Great memoryStrengths: Good compatability, good price. Weakness: None. Bought this kit for my Dell laptop. Pulled out the original 512MB, installed these in. Good upgrades for laptopsStrengths: Easy to install, good compatibility. Works fine with my T61!~ Weakness: nothing so far This memory has a good compatibility and Works fine with my T61!~ I used to be using Window XP on 512m. Now with 2G on XP, I don't feel a substantially faster speed, but everything works smoothly. So I am satisfied with it. Great product, works great.Strengths: works great right out of the box, excellent product. Weakness: no found yet. I added this 2GB memory to my Toshiba A135-S4527 laptop, the Vista Home Premium runs great now. The bootup and shutdown times are much shorter compared to before, great product. Installed it in a Toshiba Satellite with only 512MB so the difference in RAM made a huge difference. These are great value RAM for the 2GB it provides. Work with my Fujitsu S2210Strengths: -- Weakness: -- This Corsair memory kit (2 of 1GB modules) works well with my Fujitsu S2210 laptop. (AMD Turion 64 x2) My computer starts up Windows XP with out any problem. No bluescreen is observed. The price is also reasonable with good quality, even thought it is the low-end memory of Corsair. Works exactly as it's supposed to!Strengths: It works. Gives you enough RAM to actually run Windows Vista. Weakness: None 2GB of ram is a must have when moving to windows vista and this kit makes it easy as it gives you all that you need to reach this goal. This ram installed easily in my Dell Vostro 1400 and now vista is moving along at a decent speed. Still not as fast as XP but that is the fault of microsoft and not this ram. great performance at a great priceStrengths: 2 gbs of memory for $50 AR at frys.com lifetime warranty CL4 Weakness: cant beat this deal especially with CL4 installed fine on my macbook as i had hoped. to the very first reviewer, the sticks probably came up as 1.7 gb because of your integrated graphics taking a chunk to use as video memory. This one works great, just install and play. the performace is improved a lot. the only thing I don't like is the memory generate heat much more than the old 1G memory. Works great!Strengths: Easy to install. Weakness: have not found any. I bought this for my MacBook, which was very slow when a few applications were running. It would take forever to open a large picture file. I am not good at computer stuff. But following the installation instruction from MacBook manual, it only took me less than 10 min to get these pair in. And the Macbook recognized them immediately after I restart the computer. No problem, outstanding memory
Strengths: easy installation, maximized installation, and also reasonabel price.
Weakness: none
Outstanding Product. My dell vostro laptop performs like a charm once I inserted these in. Corsair didn't upset me as an outstanding brand.
The memory itself is pretty easy to install. But my vostro 1500's design gave me a hard time. Really don't know why they put one memory slot under keyboard. That's such a ridiculous design. Vostro owners may need to be careful to avoid harm to the motherboard or keyboard during the process.
