Excellent Quality!

Strengths: Great affordable price from monarchcomputer.com! Fast shipment from monarch. Fast and reliable. Tested with memtest+86 and it passed! Yippee yeah!!!!!!!1

Weakness: None! Go for it!

This is great for gaming. I get no lag with Madden 2006, there is no slowdown in BF2, and Half Life 2 runs super smooth. I can play music, surf the web, and play WoW all at the same time and there is no slowness whatsoever.

Huge storage, not the fastest RAM, but is more than...

Strengths: 2GB DDR2! Cheap! Corsair Quality!

Weakness: High latency 4-4-4-12. Takes a few seconds more to hibernate (expected). Not all systems support DDR2 at this time.

Before I installed this RAM, I had 512MB (2 x 256MB) DDR2 installed with my P4 system. After installing the RAM, I did notice a slight increase in speed (probably 5-10%). I think the lack of speed increase was due to the fact that I'm running Windows XP and it doesn't know how to use more than 1GB of RAM efficiently. When the next version of Windows comes out, I'll know for sure.

This ram was a great bargain since it cost the same as my 512MB RAM from last year (Jan 2005)(also Corsair ValueRam)!

Question: Did you remove your 512 or add this to it. I am curious because i have 2 x 512 and want to add 2 gb to it, but don't know if it would work better just to have the two 1gb or two 1gb and two 512 . Help a newbie out? Thanks.

I kept the original 512mb (2x256mb) in there. As long as you have two sets of paired memory chips you can still do dual channeling.

Corsair 2GB PC4200 DDR2 DIMM Memory

Strengths: Reliable, fast, cheap

Weakness: None?

This is great RAM if you can find a good deal on it. With Corsair, you get good support and reliability. Also, you can use their compatibility tool to make sure this RAM will work on your system.

Worked Like a Charm Since June 2005

Strengths: Significantly cheaper than Dell-designated one. It's by Corsair.

Weakness: None so far.

I bought a Dell Dimension 4700 (June 2005) that came with 256MB of RAM. Dell's memory upgrade was pricey so I decided to do the upgrade myself. I researched quite a bit before deciding on this one. At that time, I couldn't find any review regarding using these chips on the system. I decided to try my luck anyways since I could not live with having only 256MB of memory on the system and was not willing to pay the premium price that Dell-designated one would cost. I am glad I made that decision. Everything worked out without a hitch and my system has been running very quietly and very fast.

Excellent DDR2 Memory

Strengths: Cheap, excellent performance, name brand

Weakness: Haven't found any!

This memory from Corsair is "Value" memory but personally I have not seen why that is. There is no indication of memory failure and this product has sped up my system significantly upon installation!

Good product. Works very well on Dell 9100.

Strengths: Easy to set up. No hassle so far.

Weakness: Nothing I have found

I use it on my newly got Dell 9100, no trouble for me so far. I have used memtest and Dell's utility function to test it for hours, and no error was found. Great product, and cheap too!

Good cheap RAM

Strengths: Corsair brand.

Weakness: none

First experience with "value" ram. Have used Corsair XMS in the past. Works great in non OCed system. Corsair is the best IMO. Works as advertised. Excellent price. System posted on first try.

Ram...meh.

Strengths: Easy Set Up, works pretty good.

Weakness: Tid bit hot

with as much Ram as I use for my gaming, programming, and so on, this ram seems to do pretty well. I have peaked it no more then a handful of times (which most people never seem to do once).
But all in all, it seems to be substantial.

Works well on Dell Dimension 8400

Strengths: Inexpensive. Stable and error free.

Weakness: None so far.

I wanted to upgrade from the 512MB which came with my system. I purchased 2 of these modules after reading other reviews on this site and in hope of avoiding the high cost of the Dell upgrade which was more than twice the price. At first one of the two modules had errors with memtest and Dell dignostic function, however the module was promptly replaced with no hassel by Corsair.(Support was prompt and courteous). Now system works great and is dramatically faster with graphics programs like Photoshop and Adobe Premier Elements. Even everday functions such as internet browsing and word-processing are approximately 25% faster. Very pleased so far.

Nice product at lowest price

Strengths: Cheapest price and good quality

Weakness: None

Use the RAM on my dell 9100. Up to date, working great and effecitively. No great improvement during daily operation. But when you are in games, you can feel the speed.

This memory rocks!

Strengths: Easy installation. Relatively cheap compared with other 2GB ram.

Weakness: Nothing so far.

I have used this memory for about 2 months now and never had I had any trouble that's related with memory. I am using it on a Dell 9100, this combined with the original 256MB*2, I have in total 2.5G ram on this machine. It rocks!
