Intel Pentium 4 660 w/ HT Technology - 3.6 Ghz...

Strengths: Speed, Price, Price, Price, very easily over clocked, 2MB Cache, 800 Mhz FSB

Weakness: absolutely none that come to mind.

I have this processor installed on a Asus P5AD2-E Premium motherboard. I have it over clocked to 3.968 GHZ with a front side buss of 880. The CPU temp is 41C at idle, and may top at 61C under high usage.
The best part of the whole equation is I bought this through Price Grabber for $199.00, that's the retail version with fan and three year warranty.
If I had to pick one Intel processor that I thought was the best so far this would be it in a New York minute.

Intel Pentium 4 660 Processor

Strengths: Fast, Very good at multitasking, 3.6Ghz and still good at overclocking.

Weakness: Price, Heat, Stock cooler itself.

I got this thing and followed the Intel instructions for installing it, and my motherboard was having random shutdown problems. I finally found out that the thermal pad that comes with this processor is too thick and actually holds heat in, but thats no big loss; threw some Arctic Silver 5 on it and it worked like a charm. This processor is definitely for the high-end multitasker. I play HL2 while encoding movies and virus scanning-no problem, only very minor loss in the framerates. The stock cooler for this item is good, but it doesn't keep the heat to a level I wanted it at; it ran around 55C. I got a liquid cooling system on it, and I overclocked to 4.5Ghz with 1066FSB and its even more phenominal; I highly reccomend this product if you can handle the heat(Stock cooler not reccomended for this though)
