Patriot 1 GB PC2700 SODIMM Memory reviewStrengths: Good price per memory capacity; trouble-free operation for almost 3 months. Weakness: None so far. This product was identified by the price per memory capacity. Two 1 GB modules were used to replace 512 MB x 2. Additional memory made the aging laptop noticeable more responsive and usable. No problems with the patriot 1 GB modules so far (three months) in spite of the low price. I would highly recommend the product for quality and value. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Excellent ram for old laptop.Strengths: Cheap memory but great quality Weakness: none I am not very familiar with this brand name first, but I bought it since it is much cheaper compared other brand memory. The result turns out to be very satisfying. This memory does a great job to speed up my old computer and it is quite stable during 3 month usage. No blue sceen, no jump out, no random restart. patriot sodimm ram chipStrengths: excellent chip works perfect for lap top as described Weakness: it installs backward and you can not see the label if you ever want to check what is the specs of the chip It works perfect as described, worth for the price compared to other manufacturers.i would recommend to buy this at any time, MY lap top is from Systemax, and it has been very slow , since I installed this chip, it has been very quick to open the pages and on internet also,I would recommed any any time this chip since I have installed other chip in my other desk top, this chip seems to work better than I have.I would recommend this chip over other name brand.I would also recommend to buy 1 gb or more chip since this one worked better than I had of 256 mb, i may even buy this same 1 gb to go upto 2 gb , since i have two slots, Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? NO FRILLS, JUST WORKS AS STATED

What can I say - it is a standard memory chip. It works like it should, which I guess it is a good compliment. The construction of the chip itself seems solid, has 8 black squares on both sides (16 total) as in the picture. Measures 1.25 x 2.625 inches, no heat spreader. Can't tell any difference from other 333MHz chips in term of performance, but it sure makes my laptop work a lot faster than before (went from 512MB to 1.5GIG, so big improvement on windows XP). Installation was hard, but only because my notebook does not have an easy access to the memory chip banks.
