Olympus LI-12B Rechargeable Camera Battery

Strengths: The battery is an original Olympus battery, made in Japan.

Weakness: None

The battery is small and lightweight, easy to carry in any camera bag. It comes with a plastic cover to protect the contacts when it is stored outside of the camera. Since it is made by Olympus, it fits right into the camera or the charger.

Olympus LI-12B Rechargeable Camera Battery

Strengths: 1st battery I have had 6 mon. & it's charge has always lasted for the following day of travelling. Now purchased a 2nd one.

Weakness: None have shown up.

Battery is not heavy. Important to have a battery that is rechargeable and will last all day while away from electricity. I purchased the second one in case the first one became inoperable for some unforseen reason or I haven't been able(or forgot) to recharge between uses.

Although the product description claimed that this replacement battery would last longer than the original Olympus, its average run time seems shorter than that of the original. However, it still has a serviceable battery life, so it is still useful as a backup battery.

Resonable quality at its price.

Strengths: Durable, stable in performance.

Weakness: Flexibility, price.

I will not write anything about the length of useage per charge, because it does not concern with the specific product. It depends on Capacity (mAh). In this case I assume that every brand doesn't lie about the Capacity. (There are some fake batteries or poor quality batteries that the Capacity is not accurate.)

For this product, I've used it for months. The life time of this kind of battery is about 300 full recharges. And during that period, I can say that the quality is pretty stable. Some fake batteries will work well for 5-10 times of recharges, after that the quality will change dramatically.

I use this battery for my camera. After full charged, I can take about 350 pictures. After many many times of recharge, I still usable for about the same amout (350 pictures). I used to have the cheaper one (fake one). It worked well in the first 10-15 times of charge. After that, GOD!. The number of the pictures I can take per charge reduced. I bought the fake battery last 2 month. Now, it works around 50-80 pictures per charge. My old Olympus battery still work very well at 350 pictures per charge.

Although it's a little bit more expensive than the fake battery, the quality is worth you money. Anyway, there are only a few cameras that use this type of battery.

PS. This product came with the dust cap.

Just geeps going!

Strengths: High Capacity

Weakness: Takes hours to charge.

I was concerned about the price of additional batteries when we bought our Olympus Stylus 500. It seems we may not need one though. On Christmas Day, we filled up three 128MB cards with flash photographs! That's almost 200 high resolution pictures (+a 14MB movie) on a single charge. I was very impressed with the battery.

LI-12B Lithium Ion Rechargable Battery

Strengths: Excellent price, works perfectly in my Olympus digital camera!!!

Weakness: Doesn't say Olympus on the battery - "big deal".

The price was less than 1/4 of other places. I ordered this 2 weeks before a big trip thinking the standard shipping would get it to me in time. The problem was they waited 5 days after I placed the order to ship it to me. They never notified me they had shipped it or how long it would take for it to arrive. I had to hunt down the vendor's phone number because it wasn't listed, only their email that they didn't respond to in a day. When I called they seemed disorganized. The good news is that the battery arrived the day before my trip.

Strengths: Great price for a backup battery

Weakness: It took a week longer to recieve than thay indicated.

It is always a good idea to carry an extra battery with your digatal camera. This one was a great price and so far it works fine. I would consider purchasing another one for an extra extra backup.

Strengths: last a LONG time. very rearely do I have to charge it even though I have a back up ready to go! Small lightweight!

Weakness: none. they're great!

I wouldn't buy ANY camera UNLESS it had one of these!!! I've had my camera for almost 3 years and this battery hasn't had to be charged more than 4 times! Lithuim suck! They wear out at half strength...WORTHLESS and double A's are way to expensive ( they wear out to fast anyway!).
