Kingston ValueRAM 4GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory Kit (2 x 2GB)

Strengths: Very reliable brand, very stable (if you don't push them too much.) Can withstand some overclocking, however, I would recommended using heat spreaders or RAM cooling blocks (I use Koolance on mine.)

Weakness: Some people may not like the shorter height modules that are being produced.

If you haven't purchased memory modules recently, you may be surprised to find out that some memory modules are being made shorter than the standard size that you may be used to. The kit I received contained two modules that were 11/16" high, compared to the standard 1 3/16" high. In another kit from Kingston, the memory was the standard height, so I guess they are producing and shipping both right now. My system is Water cooled by Koolance (CPU & Memory) and I use Koolance's RAM-30-V06 RAM cooling blocks in my system which fit perfectly on the standard height modules. I'm not sure if my RAM coolers will fit on the smaller modules, yet. The smaller height might be a problem for those who want to put heat spreaders on their memory.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase which is why I purchased additional memory for my system. Highly recommended for the price and reliability you get from Kingston Memory.

Good stuff

Strengths: Price for this really is pretty good for 4GB and I really like how this is compatible with most any systems that have been made in the past 2 years.

Weakness: The cas timing is not 4. And it doesn't have any fancy cooling vents like the more expensive stuff, but for the money, that's not that big of a weakness.

If you are just looking for good ram that doesn't cost much this is it. I just bought more of this so I can give it to my brother since I already have some and he's building a new machine. This really is good basic stuff, so as long as this is cheaper then other similar memory I would go with this any day of the week.

Kingston 4GB PC2-6400 DDR2 DIMM Dual Channel Memory...

Strengths: Low price.

Weakness: CL 6.

Kingston KVR800D2K24G 4GB PC2-6400 DDR2 DIMM works fine on the motherboard ECS G31T-M(v.1). But I was only able to overclock an Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 to 3.07GHz and no further without sacrificing system stability because of the high Cas Latency of 6 instead of 5 on this Kingston RAM. Kingston memory brand is reputable with its lifetime warranty. But comparing to the HP memory PC2-5300 with micron chips I had, its overclocking capability is quite limited. As far reliability goes, Kingston memories have never failed on me.
