INTEL?
Strengths: very stable, competitive performance, but...AMD64 X2
Weaknesses:  HIGH PRICE- HIGH TEMPERATURe, 75C-80C FULL LOADED, AMD64 X2 HAS BETTER PERFORMANCE RATIO/ AND WATTS COMSUPTION (POWER), I PERSONAL DECIDED TO SELL IT...
Review: i was a intel user until i test the amd 64 system, definetly intel must redesing he's architecture and system, to be more competitive with the cpu battle. if you really looking a processor for extreme aplication performance and extreme gamers capabilities. AMD 64 X2 is better choice.

Intel Pentium 4 - 3.0E GHz Processor

BX80546PG3000E - 3GHz

Strengths: Price versus computing power. Hyperthreading is great. 1 MB of L2 cache really shows up with some of my more intensive applications.
Weaknesses: This CPU runs hot—really hot.
Review:  This processor is powerful. And if you want to save on household utility bills, you can heat at least one room with it. I’m not joking at all here—it runs that hot. I recommend this processor, only if you are willing to go the extra steps to ensure better CPU cooling. This CPU’s normal operating temperature was near 60-62°C in a PC with: a 4-fan Aluminum Coolermaster Praetorian case, all...

Intel Pentium 4 - 3.20 GHz Processor

BX80532PG3200D - 3.2GHz

Strengths: Fast, Brand Name, Good For Multi-tasking
Weaknesses: not 64 bit, small 64kb L1 Cache, only 512kb L2 Cache, ruins future upgrading
Review:  This is a good chip, if you want to buy name brand Intel, i have the AMD 64 3200+ along with this chip. The Amd is just as fast, but will be able to operate a 64 bit OS in a year, which the Intel processors will have to operate in 32 bit. If you want to upgrade to an Intel 64 capatable chip, your gonna need a new motherboard, cause Intel plans to make a different socket for their 64 bit...

Only so-so
Strengths: Decent performance overall, but nothing above Northwood.
Weaknesses: Heat, poor performance in audio/video encoding.
Review:  I upgraded from a Northwood P4 3.0Ghz at 533Mhz FSB to this Prescott 3.2Ghz 800Mhz FSB along with a motherboard that could support more than 786MB memory in hopes for a much more robust system in general. What I got was a hotter CPU that does video encoding a tiny bit better and audio encoding a bit slower. Basically I gained nothing, other than having a better motherboard and more memory....

Intel Pentium 4 - 2.80 GHz Processor

BX80532PE2800D - 2.8GHz

Strengths: CPU run cool - great for most applications and games.
Weaknesses: Hyperthreading would be great. Would like to see more L2 or L3 Cache.
Review: A great processor for mid to entry level workstations. Would buy again. Should be able to run most games and most application for home or bussiness use.

Strengths:  Hyper-Threading Technology allows multiple threads to be processed SIMULTANEOUSLY! This drops load times for large applications significantly, as...
Weaknesses: It's expensive!
Review:  If you are willing to shell out the big bucks for performance, go for this one. Intel is finally coming out of the closet with a processor that stomps all over AMD. However, if you're just DYING to get the Multi-Thread technology and the 800MHz FSB, I would recommend going with the 2.8GHz or the 2.6GHz, as they are several hundred dollars cheaper, and you will probably not even notice a...

Very satisfied
Strengths:  Put this processor in my home built PC. Works really well with Quake 4 and with a thermaltake silenX processor cooler, heating up hasn't been an...
Weaknesses:  Noticed some slowing down issues with downloading big files from the internet but I think that's related to my IDE hard drive and not because of...
Review: Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. Was originally toying with the idea of getting a CORE 2 DUO but a huge price difference ultimately prompted me to buy this processor. Hasn't been disappointed, overall performance has been pretty fast and stable with daily chores (browsing, image processing) and with processor intensive applications (Quake 4).

Weaknesses: still stuck at the 800MHz FSB
Review: Intel CPUs and Chipsets are stable, fast and reliable. The LGA 775 form factor has shifted the pins which used to be on the CPU to the motherboard. The CPU fan requires substantial pressure to be properly installed.

Strengths: High end speed and reliabilty.
Weaknesses:  None to my knowledge with the product. The in box documentation is lacking, then again all the docs, specs, and compatiblities are readily accessable...
Review:  Some of the Top-of-the-Line AMD and Intel processors might out perform this chip, but the price is simply beyond reasonable. For this chip you're paying less than a ten dollars per 100MHz (less than a 1 cent per 1/10 MHz) and that is awesome. A word about Intel and why I build strictly Intel PCs. Intel (compared to AMD) is usually a little less buggy and less of a headache. (This may change...

Intel Pentium 4 660 Processor

BX80547PG3600F - 3.6GHz

The Intel Pentium 4 processor family supporting Hyper-Threading (HT)... more

Strengths: Fast, Very good at multitasking, 3.6Ghz and still good at overclocking.
Weaknesses: Price, Heat, Stock cooler itself.
Review:  I got this thing and followed the Intel instructions for installing it, and my motherboard was having random shutdown problems. I finally found out that the thermal pad that comes with this processor is too thick and actually holds heat in, but thats no big loss; threw some Arctic Silver 5 on it and it worked like a charm. This processor is definitely for the high-end multitasker. I play HL2...

Hot Proccesor
Strengths: Fast, Decent Price
Weaknesses: Hot
Review: With 5 fans I still can get it to stay below the reccomended 38 degrees C, but it does not seem to matter that its running warm, runs autodesk inventor and games great faster than new dell precision comps with xeon processors.

Strengths: Large cache, easy to install
Weaknesses: difficult to keep cpu temperature down
Review: Had to install additional case cooling fans to keep cpu temperature down below maximum levels. AMD comparible processors are cheaper to purchase with same or better performance. AMD processors do not have the same cooling problems as the pentium IV.

Strengths: good for gamers
Review:  I am a GAMER!! I have over 110 gigs of high end top of the line games on my system. And I can tell you, this chip can handle the load. At times there is a slight lag, but what do you expect with the massive amount of graphics and datd on my system. On line gaming, even with cable could be better though. All in all I rate this chip 3 1/2 out of 5...a good reliable chip especially for less...
