One of the most underappreciated FPS this year.

Strengths: Best graphics to date during release, Fast and True Skill based Gameplay, Immersive Single Player Campaign, re-emergence of classic fun DM Maps and a decent ingame server browser, Potential for mods

Weakness: performance problems at times (very demanding game), desperately needs a Cooperative mode for singleplayer campaign, Could have had a few more maps and some Q1 Maps and models

First off people need to realize that this game is not like DOOM3 except that it uses the DOOM3 engine. The gameplay mechanics are completely different and is more action based and fast paced. When ID passed off the torch to Raven to take on most of the development for Quake 4 I was originally a bit apprehensive. Then the low advance review score for PC gamer came out and I got even more worried....

Quake 4

Strengths: AI, Vehicles and Mech awesome smooth controls, game runs very smoothly with no hitches or bugs

Weakness: none

I loved everything about the game especially the AI which I found to be fairly intelligent. The controls, music, sound, visuals, everything was just awesome as hell to play. Love it.

Great Game

Strengths: Graphics, control, large varty of weapons, and good story line.

Weakness: to enjoy the high end graphics you may need a powerfull pc

I have to say i have never been much of a quake fan, but this game rocks the graphics, and special effects in this game are so realistic on some of the monsters that you find your self looking twice at some of them because of all the details, shadow details are killer when walking down a hall you can some time see the enemies shadow lurking around the corner this add a killer realistic effect...

QUAKE 4

The classic franchise returns, and as usual, it's Quake's multiplayer that saves the day and will keep it on your hard drive for months to come.

Quake 4

“All right you maggots, haul ass or die!” “Who’s the new guy?” “Matthew Kane, one certified bad-ass.” “A guy like Kane could get us killed.” “Shut up!” Language, gratuitous violence, the horror of war – you want it, Quake 4 delivers. But unlike some games that toss all that stuff in for shock value, Quake 4 has a purpose and everything you see or hear is well with the...

Quake 4

Quake 4 won't start a revolution in FPS conventions, but it's still a must-play for FPS dilettantes.

QUAKE 4

It's a curious direction that Quake 4 has taken this time around, with the heavy emphasis on single-player, apparently at the development cost of multiplayer, previously its very selling point. And while the SP production values are certainly expensive-looking and sounding, the actual combat mechanics feel a step behind the evolution of the genre, and not in an intentionally retro way. And it's...
