Great PSU for the moneyStrengths: VERY stable voltages (check some test reviews and you will see) Bang for the buck Multiple 12V rails Slim, Industrial Strength Wires Unique to this company ONLY Weakness: Only thing I can think of is wishing the fan was a blue led fan, lol I've had this thing for about 3 months now, no probs whatsoever. I had an old 500 watt psu and the 12V rails were not maintaining their voltage, thus whenever I played a game a high pitched whining sound came from my video card (similar to a TV tube with a leak). This was due to the lack of voltage. Needless to say, it no longer does that and my voltage deviation on my cpu is about .3V at its...

Good Value - Looks Nice - Nvidia SLi ApprovedStrengths: Good value when purchased with rebates. Attractive design. Ample cables. Approved by Nvidia as 'SLi ready'. Weakness: No active PFC on this model. Model ULT31843 (retail $20 more) has Active PFC. This supply continues Ultra's tradition of creating nice looking power supplies at a good value (when you get them with rebates). The flexforce cables are easy to work with and also look nice. Only time will tell the true story of build/design quality. Initial perspective is positive based on the use of quality cables and heft of power supply (heat sinks/components/etc).

Plenty of juiceStrengths: Looks amazing, good cord management, lots of power, SLI approved, and cost effective Weakness: A little weak for a major SLI setup This power supply is awesome. It looks amazing in my case and provides enough power to get it done. It's SLI approved, so you know you can use the heck out of it. THe only drawback is the amperage, which is a little low if you build an extra high-end system. I would recommend this to anyone putting together their own machine.

It does its jobStrengths: Good amps on the 12v rail enough power to run most NON sli systems. Weakness: If your upgrading to sli and use a higher end card i would upgrade to something bigger. The rails arn't as steady as i'd like to see them, it can cause your vcore to flux from 1.5 to 1.52 Might not be the best thing in the world for a serious overclocker with good graphics cards. It does its job for me at the moment. I'm not really sure if i like it blowing all that hot air right at my CPU either...

horribleStrengths: none Weakness: everything This power supply lasted me about two seconds. I was running a 400watt ps and decided to upgrade to the 500watt for some added stability. I plug it in and I hear something pop and the thing starts smoking. I'm just lucky it didn't damage any of my other components.

Not impressedStrengths: Cables reach everything in my mid-tower. Weakness: Cheap connectors. Slight buzz. I definately got what I paid for. Rattles a bit and is louder than the Antec unit I replaced. One of the SATA connectors was broken on arrival. I had to cajole the 4 pin connectors onto my drives & fan connections. The pins are very loose. As long as it lasts longer than my last PSU (10 months) I'll be happy.

VERY NICEStrengths: Another winning product by Ultra. Sleek box with smooth edges and beautiful finish, big 120 mm cooling fan, plenty of connectors and with registration, lifetime warranty coverage. Weakness: Would like to see one separately wired 4 pin connector for single device. This power supply is SLI and PCIE ready, so was it was a perfect match for the motherboard I purchased. The silver wires are completely encased in clear insulation which lends a good look to the end product, and the connectors are solidly attached. The 8 molex (four pin) connectors are on only two cables, and I kind of would have liked to have one separate for my IDE hard drive connection. (Just...

good power supplyStrengths: 20/24 Pin Motherboard Connector 500W Power Supply sata connectors Weakness: none This PSU has SATA connectors as well as the 24 pin power cable that my DFI needs. No more 20 pin to 24 pin convert for me . Actually This power supply offers as many connectors as you can possibly have needs for them in your case. It powered up my rig beautifully with no issues so far

Awesome psuStrengths: Check out the flex cables. Stable voltage. Weakness: None This is the power supply unit to get if you do not want to spend too much. For my computer needs, I did not need a hundred dollar power supply, I bought this Ultra X-Finity 500watt psu. The flex cables are a great idea. I wish more companies adapt this idea. The flex cables allow for better placement of the wiring. This psu is a little noisy, but I did not expect much for under $50. The noise of...

Ultra X-Finity ULT-XF500 power supply
The X-Finity comes with a three-year warranty out of the box which can be upgraded to a lifetime warranty if you're willing to give them your name and address. There's more to a product than its technical side, and Ultra does a better job than most selling a product that looks cool (if you're into that), and backing it up with a warranty. TopAdvertisement

Not bad for the price...
Strengths: Appearance, performance exactly in line with the manufacturer's claims, lots of connectors.
Weakness: Can be noisy, length of connecting wires can become a bit of a jungle in your case.
I bought this PSU after reading reviews tha the latest X-Connect generations of power supplies were strong and delivered as per the manufacturer's specs (which has NOT been my experience with a number of PSU's.) When there were rebates enough to make it cost less than $30, I thought it would be worth it to upgrade my existing PSU from a 350W stock model. Unfortunately, it didn't fit into my Dell...
