Powerful. You must become familiar with the board......

Strengths: Powerful. passive cooling is nice. great overclocking features

Weakness: lots of "unique" things about the board the bios is quirky

The board overvolts your cpu off the bat. keep that in mind. The board auto overclocks your graphics card. If your using ddr500, watchout when you change your FSB. The memory divider is set to 250/200 by default. Many things about its settings out of the box cause people headaches. Once you get passed them, this board is fantastic.

Very nice, but......

Strengths: Its works a rocks fast, works cool and quiet[excellent work of asus in it], the SLI works fine in 16x,one of the things that left me intrigued is the AI Life Game....

Weakness: Dont have high definition audio codec, dont suport the new type of sata[sata II],the bus suport only 1Ghz while a8nsli premium suports 2Ghz, it is very limited in qntity of Fan Connectors[only 1!!!!]

I would like to see this motherboard supporting the opterons processors,.... ... because the limited qntity of Fan Connectors, I cant make a powerful cooling system...... I think ASUS need to make a hard work to make these motherboard better....

Best Board for AMD Processors

Strengths: Very Quiet, Bios is very simple to Tweak for enthusiasts Lots of ports for future upgrade

Weakness: Pricey and every seller have it on back order If you setup SLI with Cards, you will be waisting one PCI port because the those cards have big Fans.

I love this Mobo, I always have been using Asus for it quality and reliabilty. The MB is very stable at higher Clock Frequency. Make sure you get a very good memory like Corsair or OCZ for Low Latency. Looks like the Socket 939 is going to be absolete after a while but this MB by far the best bang for you buck(even better then EFI LAN PARTY) I have not tried Asus support yet but I heard that you...

Feature rich, but oddly designed

Strengths: Feature rich. Abundant connectors. Passively cooled means low noise. A modest array of overclocking features.

Weakness: Totally unusable PCIe x4 slot. Incompatibilities.

The copper heat pipe rising up across the plane of the PCIe x4 slot obstructs the insertion of any expansion card into this slot. An unconscienable design oversight for such an expensive motherboard. The RAID 5 feature is worthless: way too slow. Don't let that feature sell you on this. This mobo is good for gamers, as advertised. But look elsewhere for a powerful Media Center or general high-end...

Fast feature rich board with a few problems

Strengths: Fast, feature rich

Weakness: Runs hot, CMOS jumper impossible to reach

ASUS has put together a very nice motherboard that should appeal to high end users and gamers. It has a ton of nice options and supports all of the latest hardware. However, the board tends to run hot (50 degrees C and above at full load), at least in my Antec P180 case. The heatsinks and pipes are poorly placed, and actually heat up the PCIE cards. One HUGE problem is the placement of the CMOS...

Great board

Strengths: fanless design, loads of connections slots, runs cool

Weakness: pricey, socket M2 would be replacing socket 939 soon

I bought this mobo pretty soon and its not been a dissapointment. i have hooked up a GB of RAM and working it hard but the mercury only rises to 48 deg celcius!! plus it has all the expansion slots for everything i would ever need.. great board..cant wait to see what this mechanical monstrosity is really capable of

A8N32 SLI X 16 DELUXE MOTHERBOARD

Strengths: SLI for each video card is at full speed, 2 GHz Front Side Bus, compatible with many AMD processors, multiple features on motherboard.

Weakness: Passive cooling only. I wish it had more fan connectors for standard cooling methods. If you decide to use two 512MB SLI cards you will sacrifice the use of two of your PCI Slots, leaves only one.

This is a very powerful motherboard and ASUS has done well with it. It should still have more fan connectors for standard cooling methods. I highly recommend the use of liquid cooling methods for this board. Speed of FSB, SLI, and mutiple features of motherboard a plus.

Asus A8N32-SLI

Strengths: Overclocking capabilities, heat pipes for silent operation, SLI x16

Weakness: Some compatability issues, hard to get one ordered when they came out.

This top of the line board from Asus is an Athlon overclocker's dream. The BIOS makes OCing very easy. I have had no issues with this board so far, although there are some compatability issues with Antec power supplies and certain video cards running in SLI mode. The heat pipes makes the board quiet to operate and great for liquid cooling.

Awesome Motherboard & Feature Rich!

Strengths: Quality, completeness of package, extra goodies.

Weakness: Broken FTP BIOS AutoUpdater for Windows, Manual not very clear on details (common amongst board manufacturers).

I went with dual video, of course, and a PCIe TVTuner. Installing everything was a snap. The PCI slots are crowded, so if you have to have more than one it will get hot in there (might be fixed by going to liquid cooling). I don't see why you would need the PCI slots, unless you want more than two video cards. 8-channel audio is fantastic and provides smoother audio than my SoundBlaster in a PCI...

ATI and NVIDIA's Dual-Card Slugfest

The latest A8N motherboard carries a slightly different name, as the X16 SLI chipset allows for as many as 32 PCIe lanes to be used for dual graphics. The motherboard comes with an additional x4 PCIe slot that could also be used to host mass storage controllers, should you wish to run a workstation with a more powerful disk subsystem than what the nForce4 is capable of powering.

ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe

The new NVIDIA nForce 4 SLI X16 chipset takes the same basic feature set of the hugely successful nForce 4 SLI and expands upon its PCI Express lane configuration, offering two full X16 graphics slots for dual graphics SLI configurations. This adds another 16 lanes to the chipset, as well as 16 additional 2.5G PCI Express SerDes (serializer/de-serializer) interfaces, which in turn adds to chip...
