Great Case

Strengths: Looks!! Quality!! No silly side window!!! Location of PSU

Weakness: Once you add your components things start to get a little tight. NVidia 7950GX2 and HDD SATA cables. Lack of a Mobo tray.

After using a Thermal Take Tsunami for a couple years I thought it was time to look at something new. I saw this at CompUSA and was impressed with it, except their price. I really like where they placed the PSU. Running cables thru the "trapdoor" can be a pain. I have plenty of air movement with 4x120 fans. The only "problem" I had, is with the length of the video card and the location of one of...

P180B Excellent Silent PC Setup

Strengths: 1) Quiet 2) Excellent airflow 3) Great heat management 4) Lots of easily accessible drive bays 5) Storage compartment to hold extra screws, grommets, etc. 6) Separate compartment for PSU

Weakness: 1) Not enough thumb screws 2) Extremely heavy 3) Lock for drive bay door can be easily broken 4) Non-removable upper case fans 5) Hard to keep PSU cables from hitting the lower 120mm fan

Overall the P180B is a great computer case. For the overclocking enthusiast, it allows for quiet computing and great performance with its heat management. The weaknesses that I mentioned above are definitely something that Antec should work out for a new revision of the P180 case. All in all, I don't think there are any better cases out there that offer the same balance of performance and silence.

In a class of its own

Strengths: Sleek and sharp design bottom mounted psu to keep heat from other components easy mounting drives excellent cooling with up to 5 fans

Weakness: Difficulty in running cables not much else

I had been eyeing this case for months now. It is in a league of its own. It looks incredible, plenty of room for various components. The case is very very quiet, yet maintains excellent cooling. Running this with 5 yate loons fans, and my temps are great. I would possibly replace the fans if i were you, seeking quieter solutions and better air flow overall, but that is only for the serious...

Solid Case

Strengths: Quality Construction, Roomy, Durable

Weakness: Hinged door can not be rotated full 270 degrees as advertised. Difficult to cleanly route wires.

This is an excellent case. Quality construction coupled with a unique layout make for one of the best cases at this price point. Unfortunately, this unique design leads to difficulty getting cabling from power supply to motherboard. Also, the door does not sit flat against the case side as is advertised.

Antec P180B

Strengths: Roomy case with good cooling solutions. Quiet.

Weakness: Heavy. PSU placement might cause problems.

The Antec P180B was definitely made for computer enthusiasts looking for good, quiet cooling for their system. The case looks nice and is very sturdy. The placement of the PSU on the bottom of the case might cause problems for PSUs with shorter leads.

Heavy solid feeling but still with dubious design...

Strengths: Nice professional look--reminds me of subzero appliance rather than a computer case; airflow A+++; good inside compartmentalization; dust filters work well; stealth ugly looking drives behind door

Weakness: Door flexing still susceptible to temperature variations; daunting for newbies; PSU need long cords; aluminum accents cheap and falling

When you fork >$100, you expect a great looking case and excellent performance. These things should not be mutually exclusive when you spend that kind of money. The Antec P180B does not disappoint but because of the curious design decisions, the little parts detract away from the product. I was searching for a case that could pull double duty as an enhancement for the kitchen and an excellent...

Solid Case!

Strengths: Solid build, new 1.1 version fixes most common issues with the front door panel, very good noise insulation and easy to work with (Lots of thumbscrews!)

Weakness: Motherboard and PSUs must be checked before ordering to ensure cable lengths for various plugs will reach! Pricey without an included PSU! Black does show some smudges, but not glaringly so

I'm glad that I waited 2 weeks to write this review, because my opinion has changed a little several times before I got everything working just right. The "VGA Duct" option to convert the middle drive cage into a wind tunnel fixed the major issues I had of simply not having enough airflow in the right places. The lower HDD bay receives good cooling, although I wouldn't mind it being just a little...

Performance One P180 Mid-Tower Case (ATX/mATX, 11...

Strengths: Very quiet - can't hear the hard drives - stays cool - can put lots of drives in the case - I have 6 HDs in the case ( 2 mirrored - 4 RAID5)

Weakness: Depending on the MB layout you may have an issue with the length of the power cables because the PS mounts in the bottom of the case. A removable MB tray would have been nice but not a major issue.

This is one of the nicest cases I've ever owned. The ability to put 6 HDs in the case was the deciding factor to go with this case and I have no regrets. The build quality is high. The HD vibration isolation is superb - I can't hear the drives. The case has some heft to it and would be a pain to carry to LAN parties - but I won't be doing that so it's O.K. I would buy another one in a heartbeat....

Near Silent Case

Strengths: Great expansion Quiet!

Weakness: Hard to setup

This is a great case for all of you silent enthusiasts out there, but it takes a long time to set it up. A word to the wise make sure your power supply has long enough power cables to reach your motherboard in the p180 before you buy it. The newer sleeved seasonic s12's work just fine, but many power supplies simply don't have long enough cables with the psu setup in the bottom of the case.

QUIET, STURDY, professional case without flashy...

Strengths: great case with separate compartment for power supply with its own fan, efficient and quiet fans keep each compartment cool, which is the reason i bought this case; variable fan controls; easy to assemble and quiet; would recommend to anyone looking for a

Weakness: to ajust the speed of the fan in the power supply compartment you have to take the side panel off, the other fans controls are located on the back of the system, other than that there are no weaknesses

This case is great for the custom builder trying to stay away from flashy case designs that are annoying and dont serve a purpose. The case is well build and sturdy with sound dampening panels that keep the sounds of the fans down even at full speed. I bought this because i was looking for a case that was quiet and didnt have lights that would keep me up at night because the computer is in my...

Black Antec P180 & P150 Cases and Updates

Antec is well known for producing some of the most acoustically advanced enclosures around. In fact, Mike Chin, SPCR's editor, has twice collaborated with Antec to create the P180 and the NSK2400 — both of which incorporate low noise design features based on tried-and-true SPCR knowledge.

Antec's silence-oriented products have not been without teething problems, so we are glad to see...
