Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80 GB Internal Hard DriveStrengths: Easy configure, stores data, good price, decent performance Weakness: No LED connector on drive. This is my first SATA drive. I bought 2 which I have striped. The drives are pretty quiet and perform decently. I would by more of them if I need to.

Seagate Barracuda ST380817AS 80GB Hard DriveStrengths: Easy to install. Great software. Fast transfers. Weakness: No cables. A little noisy. Seagate is a trusted name and they have produced another winner. Install was smooth using Abit VIA KV7 based motherboard and Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 2. Drive was recognized by the mobo and Windows had no problems partitoning and formatting the drive. Great price for the performance and the size. Would definitely buy again and highly recommend if you need just an average sized system drive.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80 GB Internal Hard DriveStrengths: Very fast, quiet and reliable. NCQ coupled with the Intel 925XE Chipset AHCI gives me a 50% reduction in WindowsXP Home load time. Weakness: The drive gets hot under constant use. It is fine for a home computer but i would look for soemthing that runs cooler for a server. The NCQ SATA HDDs, when set up correctly in BIOS and the operating system are incredibly fast. This really is SCSI on a budget. Users must know how to set BIOS IDE options and install the correct Intel drivers to take full advantage of this drive's speed.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80 GB Internal Hard DriveStrengths: fast, effective, reliable Weakness: a bit louder, than Maxtor Drives or maybe its more like a higher pitched sound from the durabilty of the casing. The only thing I didnt like about this drive was that at OEM I didnt have any floppy disk of the drivers that I needed to install XP Pro or else it won't read the dam hard drive as being present. So I had to first of all BUY A FLOPPY for my pc, which i should of bought when I ordered my case custom, creat 2 floppy disks of drivers from my motherboard cd utilities of the SATA drivers on my...

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80 GB Internal Hard DriveStrengths: Very quit, 5 year warr. Weakness: none I had no problems installing on my new pc. I didn't have a floppy drive but didn't need it. Windows XP Pro went on just fine without any problem. I also put a 250g HD from seagate in as well. This was my first pc build.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 80 GB Internal Hard Drive
Strengths: Quiet, Fast, Inexpensive
Weakness: Sata cables not included
I have two of these in RAID1 in a home file server. Would probably be incredibally fast striped but I'm more concerned about data loss. These are my first SATA drives and were very easy to install and configure in a RAID array. The smaller SATA cables helped with airflow and keep the system temp lower. Have owned drives by many different different manufacturers but Seagate has yet to crash and...
